The TESCO CEE Cup brings 12 teams from various CEE countries to attend the CEE Cup. The youth tournament sees top players from major leagues under 19 teams, born from 01-01-1992.

Tournament Set-up

Phase 1 – Group Phase

  • 12 teams are divided in 4 groups of 3 teams. Host team(s) shall be appointed top seeds of by the organizer specified group(s).
  • Each team will play 1 match against each group opponent, so a total of 2 games in Phase 1.
  • Games consist of 2 half's of 45 minutes, totaling 90 minutes per game, separated by a 15 minutes break.
  • A win brings 3 points, a draw 1 point and a loss 0 points.
  • When the ranking of the group after Phase 1 shows an equal amount of points the following criteria will be used to come to the final ranking:
    • Result of the game between the teams
    • Goal difference (Goals scored minus goals conceded)
    • Number of goals scored in all Phase 1 matches
    • A draw, carried out by the organization committee, in the presence of a representative of each of the teams involved in the organizers offices
  • All number 1 ranked teams will be grouped together to play in the final raking phase, as well as all number 2 ranked teams and all number 3 ranked teams.

Phase 2 – Semi Finals & Play Offs

  • Semi Finals: The number 1 ranked team from group A plays the number 1 ranked team from group B. The number 1 ranked team from group C plays the number 1 ranked team from group D.
  • Play Offs: The number 2 ranked team from group A plays the number 2 ranked team from group B. The number 2 ranked team from group C plays the number 2 ranked team from group D.
  • Play Offs: The number 3 ranked team from group A plays the number 3 ranked team from group B. The number 3 ranked team from group C plays the number 3 ranked team from group D.
  • Games consist of 2 half's of 45 minutes, totaling 90 minutes per game, separated by a 15 minutes break.
  • No extra time will be played in case of a draw after the games playing time. A penalty shoot out will decide the result of the game.
  • The penalty shoot out will be conducted according to the FA's usual and worldwide known procedures.

Phase 3.A. – Ranking Games

  • The losers of the two games played between the number 3 ranked teams in Phase 1 will play for position 11 and 12.
  • The winners of the two games played between the number 3 ranked teams in Phase 1 will play for position 9 and 10.
  • The losers of the two games played between the number 2 ranked teams in Phase 1 will play for position 7 and 8.
  • The winners of the two games played between the number 2 ranked teams in Phase 1 will play for position 5 and 6.
  • The losers of the two games played between the number 1 ranked teams in Phase 1 will play for position 3 and 4.
  • Games consist of 2 half's of 45 minutes, totaling 90 minutes per game, separated by a 15 minutes break.
  • No extra time will be played in case of a draw after the games playing time. A penalty shoot out will decide the result of the game.
  • The penalty shoot out will be conducted according to the FA's usual and worldwide known procedures.

Phase 3.B. – Final

  • The winners of the Semi Finals of Phase 2 will play the final.
  • Games consist of 2 half's of 45 minutes, totaling 90 minutes per game, separated by a 15 minutes break.
  • When the game shows a draw after 90 minutes, 2 halfs of 15 minutes will be played as extra time.
  • In case of a draw after the 120 played minutes, a penalty shoot out will decide the result of the game.
  • The penalty shoot out will be conducted according to the FA's usual and worldwide known procedures.

Award Ceremony

  • The team winning the final will be awarded the TESCO CEE Cup 2011 and medals for each participant.
  • The team loosing the final will be awarded medals for each participant.
  • The team winning the match for position number three will be awarded medals for each participant.
  • All teams will receive a honorary document about their participation in the TESCO CEE Cup and their ranking within the 2011 tournament.
  • The organization committee will choose and award the prices of best player and best goal keeper of the tournament.
  • The player making most goals throughout the entire duration of the tournament will be awarded the top scorers title of the TESCO CEE Cup 2011 tournament.

Substitutes: Each side is allowed to change three players throughout the duration of one game.

The tournament committee will ensure the technical logistics during the tournament. All decisions will be taken by the committee will be subject to an official statement to be issued by the committee. Given the brevity of the tournament, technical and disciplinary measures, whose effectiveness is limited in scope, decisions by the committee are final. Breaches of discipline committed by players belonging to the teams and judged by the referee, shall be resolved in the opinion of the competent disciplinary body. Sanctions will be charged according to the following:

  • Red carded players will not play from the time of the red card as well as during the next game of their team.
  • Players sanctioned by a second yellow card, will not be allowed to play during the next game of their team.
  • After the ban has been fulfilled, the record for that player will be reset on zero.

Change of outfit: if there is uniformity in the colors of the outfits of both teams playing in one and the same match, the team placed at the second position in the game (‘away' playing team) shall insure suitable replacement outfits.

In case the game is interrupted for any other reason than the general code of conduct of football rules the game can be suspended by the referees in coordination with the organizers. Continuation of such interrupted game is as follows:

  • The game picks-up right from the game situation ongoing at the time of the interruption of the referee.
  • The players ejected during the game before the interruption are not entitled to play the game.
  • Players disqualified prior to the game before the interruption are not entitled to play the game.
  • Players that received a warning in the form of a yellow card during the game before the interruption will keep this sanction for the rest of the game.
  • Teams can only make the number of substitutes in the rest of the game that have not been made prior the interruption of the game.
  • The organization may continue the interrupted game in another field if deemed necessary.
